Zlata Heller, M.I.Inf.Sc., M.I.T.I.

With 26 years of experience in information work and records management, gained at the Research and Technology Division of British Gas (now Advantica) where I held the post of Senior Information Scientist, Business Information Officer and Manager of Publications and Archive, I have accumulated an in-depth knowledge across a wide range of subject areas. While I focus on providing Internet services, Web Site design and maintenance and translation services, I also provide consultancy services in the following areas:

Information systems
Office automation
Records management
Database selection and management
Business, management and technical information
Feasibility studies
Quality management - ISO 9000 certification

In the course of my professional career I have made numerous and valuable personal contacts. I have thus been able to build up a circle of associates whom I can consult or bring in on individual projects as and when necessary.

With regard to my linguistic skills, I am a translator of German and Russian by training. Throughout my employment with British Gas, and in addition to my other duties at the time, I was responsible for the provision of a comprehensive translation service to the staff of the Research Technology Division of British Gas. My mother language is Czech, while English has been my language of habitual use for the last 29 years. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, Institute of Translation and Interpreting, and am registered on the UK National Register of Public Service Interpreters.
